The past two years we have lived through challenges I could not have imagined would happen in my lifetime. Yet we kept our cool and kept pouring on the coal. We have done well while many have not been so fortunate.
This speaks volumes about our company and about you. What we do is very personal, and it shows. The communities that we serve are safer for this. When we do good, life just takes care of us my father always said, and I believe this is true. The good we do saves countless lives every single day – our purpose is very clear.
I am so proud of you and to be part of such a wonderful family. When times get tough, the tough get going, this and families pull together in troubling times. We have and we are a powerful force.
I must share something with you that will make you chuckle and proud at the same time. About two years ago a sales representative for a wireless nurse call company called me. He asked if we would be interested in selling his product. I politely declined and explained that is not possible – we are loyal to Rauland. I very seriously said “hey, Texas is a big place – come on down and compete with us!” Without hesitation he said, “Oh he$$ no, everyone in the industry knows if you go to Texas that Lone Star will destroy you." We are a force to be reckoned with, and this is all on you.”
We are getting through this together. Whatever comes next (biblical plagues come to mind) we will come out on the other side stronger and wiser.
