LONE STAR COMMUNICATIONS PROMOTES TWO EMPLOYEES FURTHER SOLIDIFYING ITS COMMITMENT TO PROMOTE FROM WITHIN

Top US Security & Life-Safety Communications Company realigns staff to streamline its operations

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (June 1, 2022) – Lone Star Communications, a Texas-based leader in the life safety industry, is realigning its management team to further streamline its operation.

Marquis Woodard

Lone Star Communications’ Marquis Woodard is being promoted to CSO, Chief Sales Officer, for Lone Star Communications. This move will put sales leaders in all regions under Marquis to create a single position to oversee the sales of all offices. Lone Star Communications will now have a single leader that can align all processes, proposals, and products throughout Lone Stars’ 8 offices. Marquis is well qualified for the position, receiving his BS degree in Sales and Sales Leadership from WGU in 2018. Marquis will report directly to President and CEO, Raymond Bailey. Marquis has been with Lone Star Communications for more than 23 years having joined Halco Life Safety Systems in July of 1999. Marquis has held various roles in Lone Star including technician, project manager, salesman, and ultimately sales manager for the past 15 years. Marquis came to Lone Star with the acquisition of Halco Life Safety Systems in 2015 and was identified from the beginning as a promising leader. “I am very proud of Marquis and his leadership in the Houston office” says Raymond Bailey, “growing that region from an average 6-million-dollar operation annually to more than 16 million dollars in the 5 years since Halco was acquired by Lone Star Communications.” “Marquis is an excellent leader and well deserving of the promotion to CSO”, says Ronald Kruse, Chief Operating Officer for Lone Star Communications Houston. “Marquis has been a very dependable resource and has the personality to get out in front of an issue before it becomes a situation. He is well suited for this new role.”

Joshua Hiett

Lone Star Communications’, Joshua Hiett is being promoted to Director of Corporate Services reporting to Patt Bowles, COO Corporate Services. With this move, Talent Development, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Legal will report to Joshua as will future positions such as Safety Manager and Lean Services as they become part of Corporate Services. Joshua has been with Lone Star Communications for 20 years, starting his career working summers during school and joining Lone Star full-time right after college. Joshua holds BA degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas, a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University and was accepted into the Texas State bar in 2015. Joshua started with Lone Star in the office as a draftsman using his creative talent and has worked his way through various roles including his latest role as legal counsel.

“Join me in congratulating both of these professionals as they assume their new roles,” says Raymond Bailey, President of Lone Star Communications. “This is a significant change and necessary step for Lone Star Communications as we more formalize the senior leadership of the company.”
