To The Moon
A quote clip I received from Kevin Henderson Friday. It is from John F. Kennedy's speech from September 1962 at Rice University in Houston.

Kevin said that he has always loved this speech by JFK in its entirety. I agree (I don't remember it live as I was only 5 months old).

This would be considered a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) in today's language.
You have started to hear about another audacious goal to cap out the year (see November Ramblings).
Ray's ambitious goal of getting fifty hospital sites monitored utilizing CareSight by January 13th is a tall one. This will give us additional capabilities to ensure services stay online for our clients. We are sending out a 2-minute video with Ray Bailey and Kenny Schiff moderated by Mark Fenner (edited by Cliff Switzer) at the end of the week kicking off CareSight50? How do you come up with 50 anyway? You choose a goal that is ambitious and maybe it does not seem realistic when you say it. But we are already underway. Arkansas has two sites that are spinning-up servers now and one more committed. Chris Andrus is heading up this huge rock with a lot of conversations happening now. Look for a second two-minute video on November 11 with Donna Montgomery and Heather Downey moderated by Kevin Henderson.
Existing Training Opportunities
We have the Lone Star Technical Institute (LSTI) finishing up logistics on our new training website administered by Erin Tate. This will be a more formalized way to offer and schedule future internal training classes and labs. Last week and also again this week Erin hosted a Teams meeting for both current trainers and potential trainers called the Lone Star Technical Institute Scheduling and General Q&A Meeting. The idea was to let the trainers and other interested people know what is going on behind the scenes with the new training website scheduling of events and the automation for class registration. There remains work yet to be done, but we are off to a good start. Look for a rollout in mid-November.
New Training Opportunities
The LSTI (Lone Star Technical Institute) has added four labs that are already full. DC Switching Labs on November 30, December 15, and January 26 instructed by Ron Kruse. Fiber Optic Overview and Termination Lab December 7 and instructed by Jamie Selman. Jorge Garces of Grand Prairie is looking over the training curriculum for the Rauland Responder 5000 and getting ready for a class early next year. Tessa McAuley and Valerie Brzykcy are trainers for the R5/R5K CAS Orientation on November 7-10 in Georgetown. This is for our four new Clinical Applications Specialists. More to come on the LSTI future website including some new ideas for ongoing interactive training labs to review some technical subjects surrounding Responder 5 configuration.
Timely Help
Michael Sotello is taking over the newsletter compilation duties starting in January 2023. Thanks to Michael for the training that started this month and for taking on the behind-the-scenes role in conjunction with Jeff Kindig. Kevin Henderson was pitching in to edit the employee of the month compilation which is now going over to Michael for December.
